On 8th June 2021 I invested in a Tesla Model 3's worth of Tesla Shares instead of buying the car outright. This is a 3 year experiment where I lease a Model 3 and invest the equivalent of a new Model 3 in TSLA shares to see what that's going to be worth in 3 years (June 2024) 📈🚀🌙

I bought $72,883 worth of TSLA shares (equivalent of the £51,690 I would have paid in the UK) at $602.90 per share (pre 2022 share split, so equivalent of $200 per share). The below tracker shows you the real time (updated hourly) position. I'm hoping that this approach ends up with me in the green and it'd be amazing if it could pay for my 3 year lease (I'd need the share price to hit $283 for that).
